3 Months Until Christmas

Hi ho! Just 3 more months to go until Christmas. We’re excited!

Last month I promised an update on Santa’s reindeer and here it is, short and sweet.

They aren’t here yet.

That’s all I can tell you. Usually I ask Santa about this because if anyone knows when they will arrive each year it’s the Big Guy.

But he’s not here yet either.

Now, I know you know all this. If you follow the news from the North Pole here on Santa Update you know all this and apparently you DO read the news from the North Pole because we’ve had more visitors already this year to our merry little website here than we’ve ever had.

And since we don’t have reindeer or Santa to really talk about this month, why don’t we just talk about you for a minute, eh?

I just want to let you know how much we appreciate you coming to the website year round. We appreciate your mail. We appreciate your Christmas spirit. You are always kind and cheerful.

That’s really helpful to those of us who live and work at the North Pole.

Now, I know you wanted to hear some good news this month about the reindeer and about Santa.

Just understand that some years are like this. The reindeer do not always return in September. But they do return. I know some of you are starting to really worry about that because all your notes, comments and letters say that.

Please don’t worry. I know the reindeer are fine.

In fact, if you have watched the news about Santa the past few weeks you know that some of those reindeer have been with Santa in his travels recently. We don’t yet know the story but we now know that Santa is spending less time traveling by foot and more time traveling by sleigh in recent months.

The story of Santa’s walkabout this year is bound to be interesting. But I’m not sure when we’re going to hear about it. The longer Santa waits to come back the more likely it is we won’t hear much about his walkabout until after Christmas because when he gets here he’ll be so busy with Christmas he won’t be able to tell us.

So please be patient with all this. I’ve been doing this for a lot of years and I know what’s coming in the month or so ahead. Santa is going to be late coming back and he’s going to be leaving again right away, I think, once he gets here because between November and December he heads out to meet with children in as many places as he can.

I’m pretty sure that is going to happen again this year. Because in the end, it’s all about you.
