Santa’s new sleigh – which is still on Version 2 – has set a new speed record in the past few days.

Test flights of Santa’s sleigh have wandered north from Central America to the southern United States. Recently, on an extended flight from Georgia to Texas, the sleigh set the speed record in a flight held late at night.

Observers from 3 states said the sleigh was visible as a “comet-like” streak of light from east to west.

Santa's sleigh in the skies

This image was sent in from East Texas. North Pole Flight Command confirms that it could be a test flight of Santa’s sleigh.

North Pole Flight Command received several images similar to the one above from trackers and night observers in East Texas.

The images match the flight data captured by North Pole Flight Command on standard sleigh equipment.

Speed is one of the most controversial features of Santa’s sleigh. Santa, of course, loves improving technology that can make the sleigh move faster. Mrs. Claus is not a fan. North Pole Flight Command is charged with always walking the fine line between improving performance and keeping Santa’s sleigh safe.

Thank you, Elf Harold. Congratulations on getting the new speed records! The pilot and the reindeer might be so excited about it. I think that was while they were flying safely, and I wonder if Santa would try to fly faster with his team of reindeer than them. Yeah, High-speed sounds cool, but please make the operation stay safe when Santa gets into the sleigh.
The sleigh picture is amazing! I wish we could see the reindeer flying in the picture. I’m curious Santa is getting excited to get into the sleigh soon! Thank you, Elf Frank And Elf Crash! I’m looking forward to hearing the update! XD
