Santa Claus has managed to connect with the North Pole in recent days to check in on the progress of various departments.

He has been following along via radio transmission with the test flights of Santa’s Sleigh. The new sleigh, which is still on Version 2, has in recent weeks been over Sector 5 in North America. Reports from the Sleigh Department is that Santa has been in contact with Elf Quinton Q. Quigley about future test flight plans.

Santa has also reportedly had contact with Elf Crash Murphy, International Director of Santa Trackers. Elf Crash said he received a brief surprise phone call from Santa to discuss Elf Supervisor training scheduled for next month.

By special arrangement, Santa will be participating in North Pole Chat as part of Christmas in July on July 29th.

All of this activity is happening as Santa remains away from the North Pole on Walkabout. Despite all the contact with the North Pole, Santa has so far not shared any news about his location or activities. It is hoped that he might share some of that news in the scheduled chat.

Thank you, Elf Harold! Happy Christmas in July! Yes, Santa participated in the chat! Thanks to Elf Frank and Elf Crash, we asked questions and talked to him a lot. I learned a lot from Santa and the elves then. I should’ve asked another question and talked nicer. Anyway, it was a precious time. I hope Santa and the elves in the post office can also respond to questions in the mail soon. Please have a happy Christmas in July!
