Why the North Pole Celebrates Halloween

Halloween at the North Pole

Greetings everyone!

Halloween is just a few short days away and there is a buzz of excitement here at the North Pole to celebrate it. Elves just love Halloween.

Believe it or not, there are big questions about this that we get every year.

The North Pole post office reports that it is no different this year. Kids want to know: why does the North Pole celebrate Halloween?

I will explain it to you.

We celebrate it for the same reasons you celebrate Halloween.

It’s fun.

Elves love coming up with costumes. Some elves take it very seriously because we have a contest every year to see who can come up with the best costume.

Elves, as you know, just love contests like that.

But mostly we do what everyone else does on Halloween. We get together, we dress up, we eat lots of food – both good food and bad food – and we have a big, fun party.

Santa taught us long ago to do this.

He believes it is a good break for his hard working elves.

It is good to stop the hard work now and then and just have a good time.

Halloween allows us to do that.

I’ll fill you in on the details of our Halloween. But rest assured…we’ll be back to work hard on Christmas the day after.

We are, after all, elves. That’s what we do.

Elf Ernest
